{"id":49457,"date":"2026-04-28T22:21:29","date_gmt":"2026-04-28T19:21:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mk.gen.tr\/supreme-lending-executives-tout-growth-ai-investment-at-the-gathering\/"},"modified":"2026-04-28T22:21:29","modified_gmt":"2026-04-28T19:21:29","slug":"supreme-lending-executives-tout-growth-ai-investment-at-the-gathering","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mk.gen.tr\/en\/supreme-lending-executives-tout-growth-ai-investment-at-the-gathering\/","title":{"rendered":"Supreme Lending executives tout growth, AI investment at The Gathering"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Executives at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KGcU4FXCtVg\">Supreme Lending<\/a><\/strong> said the mortgage lender added roughly $3 billion in production over the past year through a combination of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.housingwire.com\/articles\/mortgage-ma-2026-forecast\/\">acquisitions<\/a>, recruiting and investments in technology while emphasizing a culture-focused approach to growth.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at <strong>HousingWire\u2019s<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.housingwire.com\/the-gathering-2026\/\">The Gathering<\/a> on Tuesday, founder and CEO <a href=\"https:\/\/www.housingwire.com\/podcast\/the-industrys-best-kept-secret-with-sarah-middleton-and-scott-everett\/\">Scott Everett<\/a> and chief growth and marketing officer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.housingwire.com\/winner-profile\/2023-woman-of-influence-sarah-middleton\/\">Sarah Middleton<\/a> discussed the company\u2019s expansion strategy, recruiting efforts and growing focus on artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n<p>Middleton, who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.housingwire.com\/articles\/supreme-lending-sarah-middleton-growth-marketing\/\">joined the company about a year ago<\/a>, described Supreme as a \u201chidden gem\u201d before becoming more visible across the mortgage industry through podcasts, public appearances and recruiting efforts.<\/p>\n<p>Everett, meanwhile, credited Middleton with helping raise the company\u2019s profile and said the lender has combined acquisitions with organic growth initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re very tech-focused, and so our tech stack is pretty strong. We didn\u2019t need to grow. We don\u2019t have to grow; we wanted to grow, just because we think it\u2019s a pretty unique place,\u201d Everett said, adding that he has an \u201cacquisition mindset.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Everett said cultural alignment remains the top consideration in evaluating acquisition targets. Last year, the Dallas-based company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.housingwire.com\/articles\/supreme-lending-to-acquire-michigan-mutual-sources\/\">reached a deal<\/a> to acquire <strong>Michigan Mutual Inc.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cFirst and foremost, culture,\u201d Everett said. \u201cYou\u2019ve got to do the right thing. \u2026 And what I would say about growth is, if you own a company, if you\u2019re looking at growth, it\u2019s never just one element, and onboarding, training, marketing, tech, staff, product emphasis \u2026. all of it has to somewhat work together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Middleton said the company focuses heavily on helping existing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.housingwire.com\/articles\/top-fha-va-loan-officers-2025\/\">loan officers<\/a> increase production through training, onboarding, marketing support, product development and technology investments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not just bringing new people in, but it\u2019s helping your current loan officers so they can increase their production,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Middleton told the audience that Supreme added 610 loan officers over the past 12 months, contributing to a production run rate of about $3 billion over the past year.<\/p>\n<p>The executives also highlighted the company\u2019s investments in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.housingwire.com\/articles\/ai-mortgage-lending-operations-housingwire-the-gathering\/\">artificial intelligence<\/a> and internally developed technology. Everett said the company is building many of its own AI-driven systems rather than relying solely on third-party vendors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAI is the new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.housingwire.com\/tag\/saas\/\">SaaS<\/a>,\u201d Everett said, warning lenders to be cautious about long-term technology contracts as AI capabilities rapidly evolve.<\/p>\n<p>Everett said Supreme is bringing on several AI interns for the summer and employs about 10 AI specialists.
