Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis investment strengthens our residential mortgage finance platform and deepens a relationship with Eastview and Lendmarq that is built on a strict, shared focus on asset quality and value,\u201d said Lucas Jackson, head of North American residential mortgage finance at Castlelake.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The acquisition underscores how the company is moving closer to the point of origination in business-purpose and investor-focused residential lending. By shifting from a loan buyer to a majority owner of key sourcing platforms, Castlelake can gain earlier visibility into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.housingwire.com\/articles\/fico-the-3bs-fruit-from-a-rotten-tree-heres-how-we-fix-it\/\">credit quality<\/a> and pipeline volume while potentially lower its cost to access these assets.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Eastview and Lendmarq, now backed by a $36 billion asset manager, have more stable liquidity and execution.
